CEREC- Crowns and Bridges, Onlays, Inlays

The team at Sycamore Dental is proud to offer crowns, bridges, onlays, and inlays using cutting edge CEREC technology. Our experienced dentists have treated patients at every stage of tooth damage and loss, and CEREC makes it easier than ever for us to perform treatments rapidly and efficiently.

What is CEREC?

The CEREC process begins with Primescan, an intraoral scanning device that sets new standards in dental scanning technology. Its state-of-the-art technology captures high resolution images with total precision, allowing us to carefully assess the condition of your teeth and plan your restoration treatment.

In fact, Primescan processes more than 1,000,000 3D points per second to produce photorealistic and highly accurate data. These incredibly detailed images of your mouth are captured and sent to our CEREC milling and grinding unit, which immediately fabricates your customized dental crown, bridge, inlay or onlay.

The CEREC technology is so advanced that it grinds and mills restorations to perfect detail in an average of 4 to 12 minutes. This means you can get a complete crown in just one visit without any temporary device or follow-up visit required.

Crowns and Bridges Using CEREC

Crowns and bridges are both important restorative dental procedures for damaged teeth. A dental crown is a permanent tooth covering used to extend the life of a damaged tooth. A bridge, meanwhile, fills the gap created by a missing tooth by anchoring itself to surrounding teeth.

Our CEREC technology makes it easier than ever before to receive a crown or bridge treatment. In as little as one hour, your Sycamore Dental team can take detailed images of your mouth, fabricate the customized dental device you need, and install into your mouth. All of this is possible without the need for a temporary device or multiple follow-up appointments.

Inlays and Onlays Using CEREC

Inlays and onlays are dental restoration options for teeth that don’t need full crowns, but still need to be fixed. An inlay is bonded within the center of the tooth, while an onlay extends over the cusps of the damaged tooth. Instead of taking the time to create our inlays and onlays in an off-site dental lab, we fabricate your customized solutions right here in our Vista, CA office using the CEREC machine.

Only the trained eye of your dentist can assess your mouth to determine whether you need a crown, bridge, inlay, or onlay. The professionals at Sycamore Dental are here to use our most advanced technology to restore full health and comfort to your mouth as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Composite Fillings

Dental fillings are used routinely in dental treatments to reverse cavities and decay. After the portion of your tooth affected by the cavity is cleaned and removed, a filling is added to “fill” the resulting empty space or hole.

Composite fillings are made of glass and acrylic resin. As tooth-colored fillings, they can be customized to closely match the teeth being treated. The composite material bonds directly to the tooth structure, lending extra strength and support to the damaged areas.

The team at Sycamore Dental is committed to helping you maintain a whole, healthy smile. When your teeth become compromised by injury or decay, call us to schedule your appointment for high-quality composite fillings to restore the appearance and functionality of your smile.

Dentures & Partial Dentures

Dentures are lab-made dental devices that replace missing teeth using an acrylic base that mimics gum tissue and supports a set of custom-made teeth. Depending on the number of teeth you are missing, your Sycamore Dental denture expert may recommend complete or partial dentures to repair your smile.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are dental prosthetics designed to replace a small section of your teeth and gums. Some are removable, while others are attached to neighboring teeth using crowns or bridges. In the end, partial dentures can fill in the gaps to give you a full smile once again.

Complete Dentures

You may need complete dentures if no teeth remain along the top or bottom row of your mouth.. They’re designed to stay in place by forming a seal with the gums. Here at Sycamore Dental, it’s our top priority to ensure that your tooth restoration solution helps you feel confident and comfortable as you chew, talk, and smile. We work with you every step of the way to ensure that your dentures meet your needs.
