Dental Emergencies
Dental emergencies occur unexpectedly, often causing extreme pain and discomfort. In many cases, rapid treatment is the key to recovery after a dental emergency. If you’re currently suffering from any of these issues, contact us right away to schedule an emergency appointment and get the help you need.
Cleanings & Prevention
At Sycamore Dental, we believe that preventive dentistry is essential to lasting oral health. We offer comprehensive dental exams, cleanings via our comfortable Guided Biofilm Therapy AIRFLOW® system, and x-rays to help all of our patients maintain a healthy smile and prevent the development of dental problems.
Periodontal Therapy
Periodontal disease is a condition that affects the gums and the bones that support your teeth. It typically starts with inflammation of the gums, known as gingivitis. If left untreated, gingivitis can progress into periodontitis, which is a more severe form of gum disease. Symptoms of periodontal disease include:
- Persistent bad breath
- Red or swollen gums
- Tender or bleeding gums
- Painful chewing
- Loose teeth
- Receding gums or longer-looking teeth
In addition to being the leading cause of tooth loss, periodontal disease is associated with other serious health conditions like diabetes, bacterial pneumonia, cardiovascular disease, and increased risk during pregnancy and childbirth.
Periodontal disease is a condition that attacks and damages the gum tissue and bone inside of the mouth. It develops when food debris, bacteria, and acid accumulate on the teeth into a substance known as plaque. Over time, plaque and tartar cause severe harm to the teeth, gums, and underlying jawbone. In addition to being the leading cause of tooth loss, periodontal disease is associated with other serious health conditions like diabetes, bacterial pneumonia, cardiovascular disease, and increased risk during pregnancy and childbirth.
Restorative
The team at Sycamore Dental is committed to helping you maintain a whole, healthy smile. When your teeth become compromised by injury or decay, call us to schedule your appointment for high-quality, technologically advanced solutions to restore the appearance and functionality of your smile.
Endodontics
When a tooth suffers serious trauma from an injury or disease, a dentist with endodontic training can perform specialized treatments to save the tooth and prevent extraction.
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
At Sycamore Dental, we are trained in the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck conditions such as tooth extractions, bone grafting, dental implants, oral cancers, and more.
Dental Implants
Whether you are missing a single tooth or an entire row of teeth, dental implants may be the perfect solution to help you restore a full, attractive smile. Our mouth restoration specialists at Sycamore Dental use dental implants to recreate the natural appearance and function of real teeth.
Orthodontics
At Sycamore Dental, we specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of jaw and tooth alignment problems. We are here to help you achieve a straight, beautiful smile. Children, teenagers, and adults can all benefit from orthodontic services like spacers, braces, and invisible aligners. We understand the importance of a healthy, beautiful smile.
Sleep Apnea
Sleep apnea, also known as obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), causes frequent interruptions to your breathing while you sleep. These pauses in your breathing sometimes last ten seconds or more. Your body becomes deprived of oxygen during this time, triggering you to gasp, choke, or snort for more air. This process keeps you alive and reopens your airways, but the problem begins again as soon as you fall back asleep.
General Anesthesia
Most forms of sedation dentistry simply help to relax patients while they are still awake, but general anesthesia is different. Anesthesiologists administer general anesthesia using a combination of sedatives and pain relievers in a simple injection into the hand or arm, which makes it possible to complete any type of oral surgery without pain, fear, or discomfort.
